What a restaurant website actually needs
Before anything clever, the basics have to work on a small screen with one thumb:
- A real menu in text, not a PDF. It loads fast, reads well on a phone, and Google can see every dish.
- Online reservations, so a table can be booked at midnight without anyone picking up the phone.
- Opening hours, the address and a map link that opens straight in the guest’s maps app.
- Photos of your food and your room that load quickly and show what an evening with you feels like.
- Clear notes on allergens, dietary options, groups and private events.
Menus that stay up to date
Menus change. Prices move, a dish sells out, the season turns. We set the menu up so an update takes a minute, or you send us a message and we do it for you on the care plan. Either way, the menu on your site and the menu on the table should never disagree.
Reservations without the phone tag
If you already use a reservation system, we build it into the site and style it so it feels like part of it. If you don’t, we help you pick one that suits the size of your room and the way you seat people. The goal is simple: a guest picks a time, gets a confirmation, and you see every booking in one place.
Showing up when people search nearby
When someone types “restaurant near me” or your neighbourhood plus “dinner”, Google leans on two things: your Google Business Profile and your website. We make sure both say the same thing, mark up your menu, hours and location so search engines understand them, and keep the site fast, because a slow page loses people before the first bite.
